Capture useful evidence of an AI notice

Capture the state before interaction with enough context to identify the route, version and layout. Includes a free implementation worksheet.

Short answer

Capture the state before interaction with enough context to identify the route, version and layout. Pair screenshots with a short test record because a still image cannot prove every transition.

When to use this guide

A team saves a cropped AI badge image but cannot show where it appeared relative to the conversation input.

This is a fictional implementation scenario. The procedure below is Article 50 Hub's suggested working method, not a prescribed legal form, a customer result or a claim that every step is an additional statutory requirement.

Review procedure

  1. Use a non-sensitive test session and record build, route, locale and viewport.

  2. Capture the relevant entry state with the notice and interaction controls visible.

  3. Record the preceding action and any timing or focus observations.

  4. Keep a sequence or additional test evidence for behavior a single image cannot show.

What the example review finds

  • The crop omits the input and page context.

  • The image has no connection to a release or test date.

Keep these example observations separate from your own results. An unknown or untested state should stay open until the relevant evidence has been inspected.

Fields for your working record

  • Build

  • Route

  • Locale and viewport

  • Entry action

  • Capture reference

Use the downloadable blank worksheet linked on this page to connect the observed behavior with the deployed system. Add a reviewer, date, evidence reference, unresolved questions and a next action. The worksheet is editable locally and does not upload your records to Article 50 Hub.

Completion and handoff

Close the task only for the scope actually reviewed. Preserve the result that another authorized reviewer can reproduce, identify the owner of remaining work, and record a retest when the implementation changes. A completed worksheet is not a substitute for the underlying evidence.

Decision boundary

A screenshot supports a specific observation and does not prove universal visibility or that every user saw the notice.
