Check synthetic video labels with captions and overlays

Review the disclosure alongside captions, platform controls and responsive cropping. Includes a free implementation worksheet.

Short answer

Review the disclosure alongside captions, platform controls and responsive cropping. Ensure competing interface elements do not obscure the information at first exposure where required.

When to use this guide

A synthetic video label sits behind the platform's caption box on mobile and is cropped from the vertical preview.

This is a fictional implementation scenario. The procedure below is Article 50 Hub's suggested working method, not a prescribed legal form, a customer result or a claim that every step is an additional statutory requirement.

Review procedure

  1. Inspect the final uploaded video and the platform-generated variants.

  2. Enable captions and common playback controls during the visibility check.

  3. Test narrow, full-screen and preview states with the actual label position.

  4. Record any obstructed or omitted disclosure and verify the corrected publication.

What the example review finds

  • Captions cover the label in the mobile player.

  • The vertical preview crops the labeled corner.

Keep these example observations separate from your own results. An unknown or untested state should stay open until the relevant evidence has been inspected.

Fields for your working record

  • Video variant

  • Caption state

  • Overlay

  • Label visibility

  • Correction evidence

Use the downloadable blank worksheet linked on this page to connect the observed behavior with the deployed system. Add a reviewer, date, evidence reference, unresolved questions and a next action. The worksheet is editable locally and does not upload your records to Article 50 Hub.

Completion and handoff

Close the task only for the scope actually reviewed. Preserve the result that another authorized reviewer can reproduce, identify the owner of remaining work, and record a retest when the implementation changes. A completed worksheet is not a substitute for the underlying evidence.

Decision boundary

A visible label check does not determine legal classification or establish that all downstream reposts retain the disclosure.
